| Come one, come all -- members, your spouses, your significant others, and your friends -- to the Annual THSCC Christmas/Tomfoolery Party and Year-End Awards Presentations, where you just might find yourself "laughing all the way"!!
Here's the scoop:
Where: For the first time in many years, we're giving Bowie a break as chef! This time we'll be heading to Bill's Barbeque & Convention Center in Wilson, N.C..
Cost: $10 per person + your favorite dessert if you like to bring it.
Dress: Yes, please! "Nice" dress is preferred, but not mandatory.
Bring your checkbook and some cash for:
• A bunch of raffle tickets at the door! There are lots of good prizes including some THSCC "stuff", some free event entries, and some really nifty products from some of our very generous sponsors -- yes, you're gonna want these! Also available for participation again will bethe ever-popular 50/50 raffle!
• Your 2006 Autocross Season Pass. Season Passes cost $150/each and are a saving of $30 over a season's worth of individual event entries.
• This is also a really great time to renew your membership for 2006! Remember that memberships run from January 1 to January 1.
Individual renewals are $25; couple/family renewals are $35. The Heel & Toe is available online, but, if you feel you absolutely must continue to receive a paper Heel & Toe in the mail, remember also that you will need to pay an additional $15 when you renew your membership to cover the cost of production and mailing.
Our always hard-working Registrars (or their stand-ins) will find a station at the party location to take your payments for the Christmas Party, raffle tickets, your 2006 Autocross Season Passes, and your 2006 membership renewals. Please remember to bring small bills or a check with which to pay to help them out!!
Also print from the web and bring along your ballot to vote for your favorite (or least favorite, depending on how you view the job ;-) candidates for the 2006 THSCC Officers. Check back here for information on where to find a ballot after it has been finalized.
The party will be catered buffet-style at Bill's Barbeque. Good stuff! Their buffet is sizeable and will include all of the following:
fried chicken
barbeque chicken
chopped pork barbeque (this is the real kind from Eastern NC)
chicken pastry (no it ain't dumplings, you Yankees!)
Brunswick Stew (no it ain't succotash either!)
boiled potatoes
string beans
collards (yum!)
potato salad
cole slaw
yams
cornsticks
hush puppies
dinner rolls or biscuits
banana pudding !!
peach cobbler
They request that we bring no food of our own due to Health Department regulations.
Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. If you prefer alcohol, then it's BYOB, as usual.
We hope to see you there in full holiday spirit!
