Recently picked up 2012 128 convertible to play with. Have to say it's a fun car so far especially with this weather. That said, something has to go and the likely choice is my beloved e39 touring. Car is in very good shape and currently needs nothing except rear tires. I don't have it listed anywhere yet, just asking the THSCC family if there's any interest before I start placing ads.

So briefly about the car,

2001 525i touring, this is the inline 6
dark grey over black interior
automatic
113k miles
tons of maintenance done
asking $5200

Would like to sell to someone that appreciates what this car is. Any questions please hit me up directly at autox328@gmail.com

That's very pretty Rodney and while I have interest in it, it might lead to a divorce :) - AB

lol, why do you think I have to sell it? I can't justify having 3 cars and I work from home. Pam's be given me "the eye" since I bought the 128..

If this popped up in a year or two i'd have probably been all over it as a daily driver.... It would make a great daily and kid hauler for cheap.

Based on recent Bring A trailer goodness, this car needs an LSx swap, and I appreciate it as a fine candidate for that project!

Hmmm...I think Rob Lupella's new fancypants garage is the perfect place for this to go...

Tall bald guys replies with, yup, I've seriously put thought into conversion, but right now it's best that it finds a new home.

AB, PM me your email and I'll forward some pics to you or just reply to my email address I put in the first post. Anything in particular you want a pick of? I did wrap the wood trim when I got it last year and the cheap vinyl is lifting on the corners. Should be pretty easy to take off if you want.

Well, I think the touring is tentatively sold. I sold my old 328 to my nephew, so history repeats itself one more time as he want's to buy the 525 as well. Upside to this is I have first right of refusal when he sells the car, but but you know my history and I'll have it back someday. Sad to see it go, but at least it's staying in the family.

I actually paused at this, but then realized I don't need another engine swap project. Miata is job 1, there is another project that is job 2 then.......hmmmmmm....

We love wagons and Julie would like to replace her Mazda 6 wagon next year with another one. I'm actually going to contact Mazda and see if they can import one as we saw them in Scotland and they look good. (Need one from the continent though.)
