I really need to see some evidence of that. In this case, actions speak louder than words, but I've seen very little action.
My point exactly.
To be fair, I could give a sh*t less about working on a car when I was in HS, but I sure wish I had taken auto shop. The non-jocks weren't too popular in that vocational class so I steered clear and took drafting instead.
Vincent, I don't know where you went to high school, but I'm a graduate of the Oviedo Vocational High School auto mechanics program. I even got a certificate. We were really popular, even with girls. These are some of the cars that the waitresses drove at my after school job; 68 Shelby GT500, 69 Hemi Road Runner, 70 Mach 1, and 73 Trans AM. Needless to say, the girl with the Shelby really liked me, but I married the girl who drove a Pinto. I was a big enough sucker to agree to put spark plugs into a Shelby GT500. The teachers liked me too; 67 427 drag Vette, 67 Z28 drag car, Porche 911, Porche 914, 67 MGB, 69 Z28, 69 Indi Pace Camaro. The students had cool cars too. The test drives after we fixed them where the best. The principle used to pretty much kiss my butt so that I would fix his truck. I used to smoke in his truck. Auto Mech students got permanent passes to leave school so that they could go to the parts store. That made skipping legal. You're so wrong!
