If anyone is thinking about upgrading their HANS please shoot me a PM. In the market for a HANS, but new they're kinda pricey.

Keep in mind, that if you want to use these for racing they carry a date as well. Have to send em in every 5 years for inspection.

Apexperformance might still let you use a coupon code on a Hans.

They do, indeed! Even in person at most events -- they gave me 10% off at Lemons years ago.

(They pimp the NecksGen these days. I've seen crash test videos and just have zero confidence those things actually work.)

I'm not buying it either

The Necksgen video looks like a no-HANS video to me.

Schroth is supposed to be launching their hans alternative soon (it was supposed to be over the summer). From what I have read it should be about half the cost of a hans.

I have a carbon-fiber HANS that I'd be willing to sell. It is model 20RE 650 (20 degree), regular size. I guess it's equivalent to the HANS Pro Ultra currently being sold. I purchased it new from HMS Motorsport for $865, plus the sliding tethers ($75 at the time) plus the carrying bag ($20). Includes the helmet mounting posts and bag (see pictures). It has never been in an accident and has always been stored indoors.

Brett,

I've tried twice replying to your PM but both messages are stuck in my PM Outbox instead of going in the Sent folder, so I assume you didn't get them. Is there some secret button I need to hit other than Submit?

In any case, PM me your email address or cell phone number and I'll contact you.

thanks.
