Event Information

Event preregistration deadline is midnight, Friday, April 18th.

Welcome to online preregistration for the 2008 THSCC Chicks-Only Autocross School! The women and men of THSCC are very excited to be presenting this event to provide an opportunity to introduce autocross to women who may be totally new to the sport, as well as an opportunity for women who have been participating only a short while to get additional seat time and instruction -- all in a low-key, no-stress, testosterone-free environment.

With a generous amount of help from the female faction of THSCC and beyond, we will equip you with the knowledge to be comfortable and have fun at an autocross, with or without that guy. You'll have plenty of seat-time, hands-on instruction, and opportunity to ask any questions that come to your mind. Remember, there is no dumb question!

To allow us time to plan appropriately for the number of students, we must request that preregistrations be entered online here and paid for either via PayPal or check by midnight, Friday, April 18th. Preregistration is not confirmed until payment is received and, in order for us to be able to cover costs associated with each preregistrant, once preregistration payment is received, there can be no *refund of payment except in cases of dire emergency. Entry fee for this school is $35.00 per student. As well as instruction, your entry fee will cover your lunch and lunch beverage, and maybe even a few additional goodies.

If you have never preregistered for a THSCC event, please read about how online preregistration works. This is the regular autocross event how-to-preregister page and not everything you read on the how-to page will apply to this particular event; there is no pass code and no permanent number registration, but there can be a waiting list if more than 32 students request entry. You may update your online preregistration for this event until Thursday midnight prior to the event. However, counter to the How-To instructions, you may not delete your preregistration online. Should you encounter an emergency prior to the event and need to withdraw, please contact the Event Chair directly. *Due to pre-event fixed costs associated with each participant, a refund of $25.00 may be requested in such cases.

What happens if it rains? Well, regular autocrosses run rain or shine. However, in an effort to provide the best learning environment for all aspects of this school, in the event of forecasted steady rain, we may consider cancelling the event for this weekend and rescheduling it sometime later in the year. *We will notify all participants as soon as possible if a rain-date change is expected. If that were to occur and you knew as soon as it was announced that you could not attend the event on the rescheduled date, we would refund your entire $35.00 event fee.

An agenda and any pre-event instructions will be provided to each preregistrant via email after preregistration closes on April 18th.

Note: There is a "regular" (i.e., open to both women and men) THSCC autocross on Sunday, May 4th at this same location. The Sunday autocross is a completely separate event from the Chicks-Only School and you may wish to preregister for that event as well. If you are not a THSCC member, you may not be able to preregister for the Sunday autocross until two weeks prior to the event. Please visit the regular Online Preregistration page (via the left menu bar or the Calendar page) to preregister for the Sunday autocross.

If you are on the Waiting List:		If, when your finish completing and submit the online preregistration form, 32 students have already signed up and you see your name appear on the Waiting List, DO NOT PAY at this time. Instead, please check back here periodically to see if your name moves off of the Waiting List and onto the event list. Once your name appears on the event list, you should pay at that time. You can still pay via PayPal by entering your Driver's License information in the online preregistration form below and then clicking the "Update Existing Entry" button to access the PayPal button to pay. Remember that your preregistration is not confirmed until your payment is received.

*Cancellation Policy:		Due to fixed pre-event costs associated with each participant of this school, a refund of $25.00 may be requested directly from the Chicks School Coordinator only in cases of dire emergency.
