It is with great pleasure that I make this announcement today. After talks among the 4 member clubs of the NCAC, K&K Insurance, and the Greensboro Coliseum, we have worked out the finer details and this event will be held at the Greensboro Coliseum.

I would like apologize for the confusion of the past week. Those issues have been resolved and we are all moving forward to make this a great event. I would like to thank Highlands, CCR, and Triad for their support of THSCC to put this event on. This truly will be a collaboration of all 4 clubs.

Event Details: If you went to the 2005 NCAC event hosted by Triad Sports Car Club, you know they did an excellent job and the event was a big success. Tarheel Sports Car Club will be hosting the event this year and we are hoping to build on that success. Heyward Wagner has been recruited for course design so we are expecting another fast fun course.

Pre-registration: Currently open here on THSCC’s website. This will be a 2-day event and you have to register for each day separately. In order for your times to be eligible for your club to use towards the NCAC Club Cup, you must participate both days. Make sure when you preregister to declare your club affiliation so that your club gets your points. There will also be no PayPal for this event like there is for normal THSCC events. Currently we don’t plan to put an entry cap on the event, but we will re-evaluate as the list grows.

Classing UPDATE: For the 2006 NCAC, we will be recognizing all SCCA classes for Stock, Prepared, Modified, Street Prepared and Street Touring classes (each with their own separate ladies class). In addition to this, we will also recognize a PAX’d Street Tire (TIR) class that will be eligible for individual class and Club Cup Points. We will also have a PAX’d Pro Class (X) intended for the fast out of town guys just looking for some seat time, and Novice class (NOV), but those will not be awarded individual class or Club Cup Points.

Ladies, please note that, if you are running in one of the ladies' classes (ex: ASL, BSPL, CPL, etc.), you will need to mark your car with all of your class letters as the example indicates.

Tech Inspection and Registration: We will be accepting Annual Tech Inspection stickers from any of the 4 participating clubs. We currently plan to have Registration/Tech open on the evening of August 18th at the Coliseum. Hopefully those trailering cars in will be able to leave them in the Coliseum lot overnight both Friday and Saturday night. Check back here closer to the event date and we should know for sure.

Lunch: Lunch will be served on site and included in your entry fee both days.

THSCC MEMBERS – August 19th of the NCAC event will be considered our Points Event #6. You must run the event this day in order to receive points towards our year long class trophy. Keep in mind that you must run both days in order to qualify you for NCAC points (and we want you to do this so that we can take home the Club Cup!).

TSCC MEMBERS – August 20th of the NCAC event will be considered your points event #7.

Event Hotel: Best Western, Wendover Plaza Hotel, 1103 Lanada Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407. (336) 297-1055. Currently there are 35 rooms reserved. Make your reservations quickly and if we need more rooms, we will get more. The room rate is $69 a night.

Here's the system of how points will be awarded toward the NCAC Club Cup. Note: For your points to be applied toward the Club Cup, you must run both days since there will be different courses each day. Your fastest time each day will be combined for your total score.
