THSCC will be headed to the Laurinburg-Maxton airport for Points Autocross #4 of the 2005 season. Event Chairs, Graham Jagger and Rob Lupella along with event GM, Vincent Keene will be your hosts. The event name is called “Split Personality”. This is what happens when you mix a Miata and Corvette driver together to make a course! The course is fast. No it’s slow. It will be open. No it won’t. It will have good flow. No way. Well, we can’t decide. You'll decide for yourself!
We have cleaned up a large section of unused concrete on the main runway and tried to avoid all patched and abused areas. So you can expect good grip. The course will be using the usual boring P, taxiway, and main runway you all hate. We love it!
Your best run of the weekend will be used for points and awards. So do both days so you can get more seat time and knock out that really good run! If you are in SS or ES class, please drive slooowwwly. The Event Chairs would appreciate your cooperation.
Remember folks, it’s 2 days at Laurinburg--bring good tires. You’ll need 'em!
Site Entrance:
We will be using the "Golden Knights" entrance to the site on both days. A THSCC sign and some pointer cones will mark the way. Pit and Grid will be in the usual place. Follow the cones.
Food:
Christine Allen and her team of Tarheel Chefs will be providing Hamburger and Hotdog Happy Meals on both days. Please be prepared to stop by the table at the bus during registration to place your order so we will know how many meals will need to be made.
Before the Driver's Meeting...Group 1 should grid cars in lanes A and B respectively. Remember to grid in lane A if you are working Heat 2.
