| The women and men of THSCC are very excited to be presenting this first ever THSCC Chicks-Only Autocross School! This event will provide an opportunity to introduce autocross to women who may be totally new to the sport, as well as an opportunity for women who have been participating only a short while to get additional seat time and instruction -- all in a low-key, no-stress, testosterone-free environment.
With a generous amount of help from the THSCC female faction, we will equip you with all the knowledge you need to be comfortable and have fun at an autocross, with or without that guy. We will provide exposure to everything from what to do when you first arrive at the site to course cleanup after the event. You'll have plenty of seat-time, hands-on instruction, and opportunity to ask any questions that come to your mind. Remember, there is no dumb question!
To allow us time to plan appropriately for the number of students, we must request that preregistrations be entered online here and paid for either via PayPal or check by midnight, Friday, MAY 16th. Preregistration is not confirmed until payment is received and, in order for us to be able to cover costs associated with each preregistrant, once preregistration payment is received, there can be no *refund of payment except in cases of dire emergency. Entry fee for this school is $35.00 per student. As well as instruction, your entry fee will cover your lunch and lunch beverage, and maybe even a few additional goodies.
Should you encounter an emergency prior to the event and need to withdraw, please contact the Event Chair directly. *Due to pre-event fixed costs associated with each participant, a refund of $25.00 may be requested in such cases.
What happens if it rains? Well, regular autocrosses run rain or shine. However, in an effort to provide the best learning environment for all aspects of this school, in the event of forecasted steady rain, we may consider cancelling the event for this weekend and rescheduling it sometime later in the year. *We will notify all participants as soon as possible if a rain-date change is expected. If that were to occur and you knew as soon as it was announced that you could not attend the event on the rescheduled date, we would refund the entire $35.00 event fee.
An agenda and any pre-event instructions will be provided to each preregistrant after preregistration closes on May 16th.
